The Cascade Party of Washington is a new centrist party with the goal to run candidates in local elections starting in 2025. However, to do so and qualify as a bona fide, minor party and qualify for equitable campaign financing under an arcane WA law, the party must put together a US presidential ticket and collect 1000 valid signatures from WA registered voters during party convention period this summer.
The Cascade Party does not want to appear on the US presidential ballot and is currently petitioning the state to change the law and will file a lawsuit if necessary to avoid appearing on the ballot. However, while the petition is being considered, we are in the process of collecting signatures to meet the state requirement as currently defined.
By signing this petition, you are helping establish the party and provide WA voters a choice in future, local elections and help support a change to this law. You are under no obligation to vote for any future Cascade Party candidates. Please vote for the US Presidential candidate of your choice in November 2024.
